CRTC Interconnection Steering Committee - Consensus items

1.

The Canadian Steering Committee on Numbering (CSCN) submitted a number of consensus reports to the CRTC Interconnection Steering Committee (CISC) Steering Committee (SC).

On 12 May 2003 the SC approved the following report:
 

- CSCN TIF 50 Carrier Identification Codes (CIC) for Switchless
   Resellers
(CNRE032A), dated 16 April 2003. The CSCN reached
   consensus on modifications to the Canadian Adjunct of the Industry
   Numbering Committee CIC assignment guidelines allowing the assignment
   of CICs to switchless resellers.

On 23 May 2003 the SC approved the following reports:
 

- Canadian International Mobile Station Identity (IMSI) Assignment
  Guidelines
(CNRE030A), dated 26 February 2003. The CSCN reached
  consensus on guidelines for the assignment and use of IMSIs for Wireless
  Service Providers and Wireless Competitive Local Exchange Carriers in
  Canada.

 

- Reactivation of NPA Relief Planning Activities (CNRE031A), dated
  10 March 2003. The CSCN reached consensus on checkpoints and additional
   procedures to guide the Canadian Numbering Administrator and Relief Planning
  Committee in monitoring the need for suspension and reactivation of relief
   planning activities.

The consensus reports were referred to the Commission for consideration. These reports are available through the Commission's web site.

The Commission has reviewed and approves the consensus reports.
