Deadline to commence operations


The Commission approves the application by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation for an extension of the time limit to commence the operation of the new transmitter of CBN-FM St. John's, authorized in Addition of a transmitter of CBN-FM St. John's at Deer Lake, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2002-48, 20 February 2002.


The transmitter must be operational at the earliest possible date and in any event no later than 30 September 2003, unless a request for an extension of time is approved by the Commission before this date. In order to ensure that such a request is processed in a timely manner, it should be submitted in writing at least 30 days before this date.
