CBFA-FM-1 Manouane, CBFA-FM-2 Obedjiwan, CBFM-FM Mistassini and CBFW-FM Wemindji - Licence renewals

1.

The Commission renews the broadcasting licences for the radiocommunication distribution undertakings CBFA-FM-1 Manouane, CBFA-FM-2 Obedjiwan, CBFM-FM Mistassini and CBFW-FM Wemindji, from 1 December 2003 to 31 August 2010.

These undertaking rebroadcast programming from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's (CBC) national French-language network service La Première Chaîne, received via satellite, the CBC's Northern Quebec Service and the James Bay Cree Communications Society. In each broadcast week, CBFA-FM-1 Manouane and CBFA-FM-2 Obedjiwan offer 28 hours of Cree-language programming while CBFM-FM Mistassini and CBFW-FM Wemindji offer 75 hours of Cree-language programming.

The Commission received one comment in connection with these applications.
