Deadline to commence operations

1.

The Commission approves the application by 1158556 Ontario Ltd. for an extension of the time limit to commence the operation of the new transmitter of CHIM-FM Timmins, authorized in Addition of a transmitter for CHIM-FM Timmins at Kapuskasing, Decision CRTC 2001-641, 11 October 2001.

The Commission notes that this is the licensee's third request for an extension to implement its authority.

The transmitter must be operational at the earliest possible date and in any event no later than 11 February 2004, unless a request for an extension of time is approved by the Commission before this date. In order to ensure that such a request is processed in a timely manner, it should be submitted in writing at least 60 days before this date.
