Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2003-500

  Ottawa, 9 October 2003
  Standard Radio Inc.
Montréal and Laval, Quebec
  Applications 2003-1122-5, 2003-1123-3

Extension of time limit to implement new transitional digital radio programming undertakings at Montréal and Laval

1.

The Commission approves the applications by Standard Radio Inc., licensee of CJAD and CJFM-FM Montréal, for an extension of the time limit to implement its authorities for transitional digital radio undertakings at Montréal and Laval. These authorities were originally granted in New transitional digital radio undertakings, Decision CRTC 2001-523, 27 August 2001.

2.

This is the applicant's second request for an extension of the time limit to commence the operation of these undertakings.

3.

The licences for these undertakings will be issued once the applicant has informed the Commission in writing that it is prepared to commence operations. The undertakings must be operational at the earliest possible date and in any event no later than 31 August 2004, unless a request for an extension of time is approved by the Commission before this date. In order to ensure that such a request is processed in a timely manner, it should be submitted at least 60 days before this date.
