Licence renewal for radio network

1.

The Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the English-language radio network in Fort St. John, for the purpose of broadcasting portions of the programming from the radio station CHRX-FM Fort St. John, from 1 September 2003 to 31 August 2010.

The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.

The Commission reminds the licensee that it must fulfil all of the benefits commitments set out in Standard acquires the assets of radio stations, radio networks and television stations in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2002-91, 19 April 2002, in which the Commission approved the application by Standard Radio Inc. to acquire the assets of the radio network in Fort St. John from Telemedia Radio Inc. and from its subsidiary Telemedia Radio (West) Inc. The Commission expects the licensee to file a report at the conclusion of the benefits period setting out the details concerning how it has fulfilled its commitments.
