The Commission notes that the above-noted transmitters are currently operated by the CBC as radiocommunication distribution undertakings (RDUs), which rebroadcast the programming of CKNC-TV Sudbury. The Commission further notes that in CBLT Toronto - new transmitters, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2002-303, 10 October 2002, the application by the CBC to acquire CKNC-TV from CTV Television Inc. and the addition of the station to CBLT's licence was approved.
5.
The CBC noted that it is thus no longer necessary to hold separate RDU licences for the above-mentioned transmitters, and has asked that the licences be revoked.
6.
Accordingly, the Commission, pursuant to sections 9(1)(e) and 24 (2) of the Broadcasting Act, revokes the broadcasting licences issued to the CBC in respect of the above-noted RDUs.
