Revocation of licence

The Prince George Community FM Stereo Society (the Stereo Society) has requested the revocation of its licence for the radiocommunication distribution undertaking authorized to serve Prince George, upon the approval of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's (CBC) application to amend the broadcasting licence for the radio programming undertaking CBU-FM Vancouver. The CBC's application has been approved today in CBU-FM Vancouver - New transmitter in Prince George, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2003-259, 17 July 2003.

The Stereo Society indicated that, upon approval of the CBC's application, the CBC will take over the operation and maintenance of the Stereo Society's facility.

Given the licensee's request, the Commission revokes, pursuant to sections 9(1)(e) and 24(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the broadcasting licence issued to the Stereo Society for the above-mentioned undertaking.
