CJFW-FM Terrace and its transmitters - Licence renewal

The Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the radio programming undertaking CJFW-FM Terrace and its transmitters CJFW-FM-1 Kitimat, CJFW-FM-2 Prince Rupert, CJFW-FM-3 Sandspit, CJFW-FM-4 Masset, CJFW-FM-5 Burns Lake, CJFW-FM-6 Smithers, CJFW-FM-7 Houston and CJFW-FM-8 Hazelton, from 1 September 2003 to 31 August 2010. The licence will be subject to the conditions set out in New licence form for commercial radio stations, Public Notice CRTC 1999-137, 24 August 1999.

The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.

The Commission reminds the licensee that it must fulfil all of the benefits commitments set out in Standard acquires the assets of radio stations, radio networks and television stations in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2002-91, 19 April 2002, in which the Commission approved the application by Standard Radio Inc. to acquire the assets of CJFW-FM Terrace from Telemedia Radio (West) Inc.

Because this licensee is subject to the Employment Equity Act and files reports concerning employment equity with Human Resources Development Canada, its employment equity practices are not examined by the Commission.
