Extension of deadline for comments |

In Broadcasting Public Notice CRTC 2002-48, the Commission called for comments on the establishment of rules to govern the distribution of specialty services on the basic service of fully digital cable undertakings. |

In a letter to the Commission dated 4 November 2002, the Canadian Association of Broadcasters (CAB) requested that Commission grant an extension of four months for the submission of comments. The CAB explained that this extension would provide it with sufficient time to proceed in a deliberate and thoughtful manner in considering this matter. |

The Commission has reviewed this request and has determined that an extension of three months is appropriate. |
4. |
The new deadline for comments is 15 February 2003. |
5. |
The new deadline for replies is 15 March 2003. |
