The Commission has received the following application: |
||

Riverhurst and Swift Current, Saskatchewan |
|
Application by the CANADIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION (CBC) relating to television station CBKT Regina. |
||
The licensee proposes to amend its licence in order to add two transmitters at the above-noted localities to offer the programming of CBKT Regina. |
||
The transmitters will operate on channel 10 with an effective radiated power of 390 watts at Riverhurst and on channel5 with an effective radiated power of 13,300 watts at Swift Current. |
||
In a letter dated 27 March 2002, Swift Current Telecasting Co. Ltd., licensee of CJFB-TV Swift Current and its transmitters, a CBC affiliated station, informed the Commission that due to a number of economic factors it will not be able to continue its operation and requested revocation of its licence effective 31 May 2002. |
||
In view of the above, CBC is filing this application to maintain the CBC English-language Television Network service to the residents of Swift Current and Riverhurst. |
