Reference: Tariff Notices 72, 72A, 72B and 72C

Asymmetric digital subscriber line access service

1.

The Commission received an application by TELUS Communications Inc. (TCI), dated 17 October 2002, and amended by way of Tariff Notice (TN) 72A on 23 October 2002, TN 72B dated 12 November 2002, and TN 72C dated 29 November 2002, to add TCI Carrier Access Tariff item 214, Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) Access Service. This service would enable a provider of high-speed applications such as Local Area Network (LAN) extensions and high-speed Internet access, to establish a high-speed data access path between the premises of a service provider's customer(s) and a TCI serving central office.

AT&T Canada Corp. on behalf of itself and AT&T Canada Telecom Services Company, Call-Net Enterprises Inc., and Mr. François Ménard filed comments.

The Commission approves on an interim basis TCI's application.
