The Commission received an application by Northern Telephone Limited Partnership (Northern), dated 16 September 2002 and modified on 2 October 2002, to revise item 12, 2002 Promotional Offer, under section N490 of its General Tariff, in order to introduce a Smart Touch Christmas campaign from 18 November 2002 to 31 December 2002. |

Northern proposed to offer residential and business line customers who purchase a telephone set from the company and subscribe to a local optional service or to a Smart Package, a $5 rebate towards the purchase of the telephone set. As part of this promotion, customers will be offered Call Answer service free of charge for a period of one month. |

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application. |

The Commission approves Northern's application. The revisions take effect as of 18 November 2002. |

Northern is to issue a revised tariff page forthwith to reflect this change. |
