Community calling plan service


The Commission received an application by Aliant Telecom Inc. (Aliant Telecom), dated 1 October 2002, to revise NewTel Communications Inc.'s (NewTel) General Tariff item 50, Exchange Service, in order to introduce, through its Community Calling Plan (CCP) service, toll-free calling between the Newfoundland and Labrador exchanges of Grey River and Burgeo and, between the exchanges of Grey River and Ramea.


The Commission notes that the proposed CCP routes comply with the approved CCP criteria identified in NewTel's General Tariff item 50.16(b).


The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.


The Commission approves Aliant Telecom's application. The revisions take effect as of 20 November 2002.
