Telecom Order CRTC 2002-400

Ottawa, 10 October 2002

Prince Rupert City Telephones

Reference: Tariff Notices 58 and 58A

Credit Payment Plan

The Commission received an application by Prince Rupert City Telephones (CityTel), dated 8 July 2002 and modified on 21 August 2002, to revise item 12, Credit Payment Plan, under section 1 of its General Tariff in order to change the monthly interest rate paid on deposits that are maintained for credit purposes.

CityTel proposed that subscribers required to maintain a deposit for credit purposes would receive interest at the per annum rate of the Bank of Canada business prime rate in effect on the first day of each month, less 3%.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission approves CityTel's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.

CityTel is to issue a revised tariff page forthwith to reflect this change.
