Telecom Order CRTC 2002-379

Ottawa, 13 September 2002

Ontario Telecommunications Association
Reference: Tariff notice 83

Suspension of service

The Commission received an application by the Ontario Telecommunications Association (OTA), dated 30 July 2002, to revise item 407, Suspension of Service, under section 4 of the Ontario Independent Services Tariff, in order to increase the charges for suspension and restoration of service.

The proposed charges for temporary discontinuance of service for a period of one to six months are as follows:

- $57 for each residence primary exchange service; and

- $120 for each business primary exchange service.

OTA also proposed that suspension of service be provided for a minimum of one month. The OTA also included as part of item 407 an updated list of member companies for which these terms and conditions would apply.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission approves the OTA's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.

OTA is to issue revised tariff pages forthwith to reflect these changes.
