The Commission received an application by Northern Telephone Limited Partnership (Northern), dated 10 June 2002, to revise General Tariff section N490, Miscellaneous Services, in order to introduce the 2002 Promotional Offer and remove references to promotions held in 2001. |

Northern proposes to offer residential and business customers who purchase a telephone set from the company and subscribe to a local optional service or to a Smart Package, a $5 rebate towards the purchase of the new telephone set. |

This offer is available to subscribers who decide to purchase a new telephone set from the company to replace a rental set. |

4. |
The Commission received no comments with respect to the application. |

5. |
The Commission approves Northern's application. The revisions take effect as of 19 August 2002. |
