Centrex service

1.

The Commission received an application by Northern Telephone Limited (Northern), dated 22 March 2002, to revise General Tariff sections N210, Centrex, and N240, Centrex II Service, in order to :

- destandardize the existing Centrex service offering which will no longer be available for new installations;

- introduce three new Centrex II service plans;

- increase the rates for certain Centrex service plans; and

- conduct a promotional campaign to launch the new Centrex II service plans between 26 April 2002 and 28 June 2002. The multi-element service charges associated with the three- and five-year contracts will be waived during this period for all individual business lines, multi-lines and existing Centrex service subscribers converting to a three- or five-year Centrex II service.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission approves Northern's application.

4.

The Commission permits Northern to begin offering the two-month promotion, at a later date.

5.

Accordingly, Northern is to issue forthwith revised tariff pages reflecting this amendment.
