Telecom Order CRTC 2002-256

Ottawa, 4 July 2002

Kenora Municipal Telephone System
Reference: Tariff notice 27

Touch-Tone

1.

The Commission received an application by Kenora Municipal Telephone System (KMTS), dated 31 January 2002, to revise item 4, Rate Schedule for Primary Exchange (local) Service, under section 100 of its General Tariff, and item 6, Customer Calling Features, under section 490 of its General Tariff, in order to include Touch-Tone as part of basic residential, business line and trunk rates.

2.

The proposed revisions would:

- remove the Touch-Tone residential and Touch-Tone business from section 490 of KMTS's General Tariff;

- include the Touch-Tone rates into the following access services (reflecting an increase of $2.00 for business and $1.75 for residential):

single line business;

trunk line business;

level 8 business;

semi/public pay station; and

single line residence.

- increase the monthly access rates, over and above the noted Touch-Tone inclusions, as follows:

single line business by an additional $4.80;

trunk line business by an additional $0.20;

level 8 business by an additional $0.20; and

semi/public pay station by an additional 0.20.

3.

KMTS also proposed to make non-material changes to several General Tariff items, where subscribers are no longer using the services. Such revisions will have no material impact on rates or services provided to customers.

4.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

5.

The Commission approves the application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.

6.

KMTS is to issue forthwith revised tariff pages to reflect these changes.
