Enhanced local calling features promotional campaigns


The Commission received an application by Aliant Telecom Inc. (Aliant Telecom), dated 26 February 2002, on behalf of Maritime Tel & Tel Limited, Island Telecom Inc., NBTel Inc. and NewTel Communications Inc., to revise General Tariff item 900, Promotions, in order to introduce two new promotions.


The company proposes that during the promotional periods from 8 April to 31 July 2002 and from 8 May to 31 July 2002, residential individual line customers who are new subscribers to one or more of the eligible calling features will receive one of those features at 50% off the regular tariffed rates for a period of three consecutive months.


The Commission approved the application on an interim basis in Ex parte application, Telecom Order CRTC 2002-138, 8 April 2002.


The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.


The Commission approves on a final basis, the application by Aliant Telecom. The revisions take effect as of the date of this order.
