Aliant Telecom Inc.
Reference: Aliant Telecom tariff notice (TN) 02, Island Tel TN 561, MTT TN 808, NBTel TN 869 and NewTel TN 662

Internet call manager

The Commission approves, on a final basis, an application filed by Aliant Telecom Inc. (Aliant Telecom) on behalf of itself, Island Telecom Inc. (Island Tel), Maritime Tel & Tel Limited (MTT), NBTel Inc. (NBTel) and NewTel Communications Inc. (NewTel) to:

  • transfer the following tariff items to Aliant Telecom General Tariff CRTC 21491, item 308:

Island Tel General Tariff CRTC 11001, item 800;
MTT General Tariff CRTC 10001, item 1600;
NBTel Special Services Tariff CRTC 12002, item 3790; and
NewTel General Tariff CRTC 13001, item 387.

  • provide Internet call manager, free of charge for one month, to new residential or business single line customers in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador or Prince Edward Island, regardless of their Internet service provider.

Aliant Telecom filed the application 14 December 2001.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The application was approved on an interim basis in Telecom Order CRTC 2002-44, dated 28 January 2002.
