Reference: Aliant Telecom tariff notice (TN) 6, NBTel TN 875, Island Tel TN 565, MTT TN 812 and NewTel TN 665

Business single-line access service

The Commission approves an application by Aliant Telecom Inc. (Aliant Telecom) on behalf of itself, NBTel Inc. (NBTel), Island Telecom Inc. (Island Tel), Maritime Tel & Tel Limited (MTT) and NewTel Communications Inc. (NewTel) to:

  • transfer the following tariff items concerning business single-line access to Aliant Telecom General Tariff CRTC 21491, item 205.2:

NBTel General Tariff CRTC 12001, items50.1 and 50.2;

Island Tel General Tariff CRTC 11001, item 280;

MTT General Tariff CRTC 10001, item 630; and

NewTel General Tariff CRTC 13001, item 50 (also for business two-party line access).

  • remove from NBTel General Tariff CRTC 12001 item 50.1(E) related to the number of terminal equipment connected and items 50.3 and 52.1 related to two expired promotions; and
  • remove from MTT General Tariff CRTC 10001, item 630.3(b), the Touch-Tone differential, and item 630.3(c), the business one party analog switching differential.

Aliant Telecom filed the application on 8 February 2002.

The revisions take effect as of 15 March 2002.
