Re: Application for forbearance from regulation of cellular and personal communications services

Dear Mr. Mercier:

On examination of the material filed in the above matter, it has been determined that additional information is needed. Accordingly, Télébec société en commandite (Télébec) and Northern Telephone Limited Partnership (Northern) are requested to respond to the following questions:

  1. State which carriers other than the applicants provide mobile wireless services in (a) Télébec's and (b) Northern's service territory.
  2. Give the portion of (a) Télébec's and (b) Northern's territory that is served by these carriers.
  3. Has (a) Télébec and (b) Northern entered into roaming agreements with other mobile wireless carriers?
  4. If so, indicate the carriers that have entered into roaming agreements with each company and the areas of (a) Télébec's and (b) Northern's territory where subscribers of other carriers may roam.

Télébec and Northern are requested to file their response to these questions with the Commission, serving a copy on O.N.Telcom, by 22 October 2002. Written materials must be received, not merely sent, by the due date.
