File #: 8638-C12-46/01

Ottawa, 18 June 2002

Subject: BMT Committee
Implementation of paragraph 806 of Telecom Decision CRTC 2002-34, / Regulatory framework for second price cap period 30 May 2002

Further to the 17 June 2002 meeting of the BMT Committee, each member is requested to submit in writing its view on how the BMT Committee should best proceed to implement the task assigned to it by the Commission in para. 806 of Telecom Decision CRTC 2002-34. In that paragraph, the Commission stated that :

« In the Commission's view, it may be appropriate that the manner in which charges and services are identified in billing statements be modified. The Commission concludes that it would be appropriate for these issues of content and related issues to be considered by the BMT Committee. As is the case with other working committees, such as the CISC working groups, the BMT Committee's consensus or other conclusions will be submitted to the Commission for approval. »

Each member should provide justification for its response including any submissions relating to timing.

Submission should be filed on or before 25 June 2002 with a copy to all other registered BMT committee members and to: procedure@crtc.gc.ca. Documents must be actually received, not merely sent by these dates.
