Dear Sir or Madam:

On 21 December 2001, Bell Canada filed an application (TN 6642) proposing to revise the Service Provider Identification Service (SPID) General tariff item number 2177. The notice attached to the application proposes that parties be given until 12 January 2002 to file their comments.

Commission staff notes that 12 January 2002 is a Saturday. In accordance with section 5 of the CRTC Telecommunications Rules of Procedure, parties will have until the close of business on Monday 14 January 2002 to comment on the application. Bell Canada may file a reply, serving a copy on parties who filed comments, by 18 January 2002. Comments should be received not merely sent by the dates indicated.
