Mr. Édouard G. Trépanier Dear Mr. Trépanier: On 8 November 2002, the Commission received an application filed by Vidéotron ltée and its subsidiaries, CF Cable TV Inc. and Vidéotron (Régional) Ltd. (collectively, "Vidéotron") pursuant to subsection 12(3) of the Broadcasting Act seeking reconsideration and variance of certain aspects of Mandatory Order issued pursuant to subsection 12(2) of the Broadcasting Act against Vidéotron and its subsidiaries, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2002-299, 9 October 2002 (Decision 2002-299). Copies of this application have already been sent to interested parties, including representatives of Look Communications, Cable VDN Inc., Bell ExpressVu Limited Partnership, and Star Choice Communications (Interested Parties). A copy of this application can be found on the CRTC web site at www.crtc.gc.ca Interested Parties are requested to provide the Commission with their comments on Vidéotron's application by 5 p.m. (ET) 13 December 2002 (with copies to Vidéotron). Vidéotron may provide reply comments to the Commission, by no later than 5 p.m. (ET) 23 December 2002 (with copies to Interested Parties). The comments and reply comments should be actually received, not merely sent by the dates and times specified. Parties can file their comments either on paper or electronically (i.e. by email). Submissions longer than five pages should include a summary. Parties wishing to file their comments on paper should send them to the Secretary General, CRTC, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0N2.
