Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2002-63

Ottawa, 4 March 2002

Native Communication Inc.
Thompson, Brandon, Fox Lake and Lake Manitoba, Manitoba

Application 2001-1398-6

Extension of time limit to implement three new transmitters

1.

The Commission approves the application by Native Communications Inc. for an extension of the time limit to commence operation of new transmitters of CINC-FM Thompson, at Brandon, granted by Decision CRTC 2001-126 dated 26 February 2001 and at Fox Lake and Lake Manitoba, granted by Decision CRTC 2000-32 dated 2 February 2000.

2.

The Commission grants the licensee an additional twelve (12) months, until 26 February 2003 for the implementation of its authority for the transmitter in Brandon and until 2 February 2003 for the transmitters in Fox Lake and Lake Manitoba.

3.

The licensee's failure to meet a new implementation deadline will cause the authority in question to become null and void, unless a request for a further extension of time is approved by the Commission before such date.

4.

The authority to operate each undertaking will only be effective once the licensee has informed the Commission in writing that it is prepared to commence operations.
