CFOR-FM Maniwaki - Acquisition of assets

1.

The Commission received an application by 9116-1299 Québec inc., a corporation equally owned by Messrs. André Gauthier and Rock Lépine, for authority to acquire the assets of the radio programming undertaking CFOR-FM Maniwaki from 3098-9289 Québec inc., and for a broadcasting licence to continue the operation of this undertaking.

The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.

The Commission approves the application by 9116-1299 Québec inc. for authority to acquire the assets of CFOR-FM, and for a broadcasting licence to continue the operation of the station.

The Commission will only issue the licence once the vendor has surrendered the current licence to the Commission.

5.

The licence will expire 31 August 2004, the current expiry date. It will be subject to the conditions set out in New licence form for commercial radio stations, Public Notice CRTC 1999-137, 24 August 1999.

In accordance with Implementation of an employment equity policy, Public Notice CRTC 1992-59, 1 September 1992, the Commission encourages the licensee to consider employment equity issues in its hiring practices and in all other aspects of its management of human resources.
