Erratum

1.

In Licence renewal for Family, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2002-386, 28 November 2002 (decision 2002-386), amendments and corrections made to some of the conditions of licence during the previous licence term were not integrated. Accordingly, paragraphs 3 and 4.b) in the conditions of licence set out in the appendix to decision 2002-386 should read as follows:
 

3. The licensee shall not distribute programming from the following categories, as set out in Schedule I to the Pay Television Regulations, 1990:
1 - News
4 - Religion
5b) - Informal education/Recreation and leisure
6a) - Professional sports
6b) - Amateur sports.

 

4.b) in the case of a new Canadian production intended for children, is scheduled to be completed prior to 10:00 p.m. Family will receive a new Canadian production programming credit for each subsequent showing during the time periods specified above of such a production within a two-year period from the date of first showing by the licensee.

In addition, part a) of the definition of "new Canadian production" should read as follows:
 

a) a first-run Canadian dramatic or children's production

 

i)which exceeds 75 minutes in duration and in relation to which all financial expenditures made by the licensee were made prior to the commencement of principal photography or taping and in which principal photography or taping was completed after 1 January 1985; or

 

ii) which exceeds 22:30 minutes in duration and in relation to which all financial expenditures by the licensee are made prior to the completion of principal photography or taping; and

3.

As well, the definition "expend on acquisition" is added:
 

a) expend to acquire exhibition rights for the licensed territory, excluding overhead costs;

 

b) expend on script and concept development, excluding overhead costs; or

 

c) expend on the production of filler programming, as defined in section 2 of the Pay Television Regulations, 1990, including direct overhead costs.

 

The definition of "acquisition" is deleted.
