CBYT Corner Brook - Revocation of licence


The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) has requested the revocation of its broadcasting licence for its radio programming undertaking CBYT Corner Brook and its transmitters CBYT-1 Stephenville, CBYT-2 Irishtown, CBYT-4 Port-aux-Basques, CBYT-5 St. Andrews, CBYT-10 Harbour Le Cou, CBYT-11 Rose Blanche, CBYT-12 Gillams, CBYT-13 Lark Harbour, CBYT-14 York Harbour and CBUAT Deer Lake.


In CBNT St. John's - addition of CBYT Corner Brook and its transmitters, Decision CRTC 2002-177, 5 July 2002, the Commission authorized the CBC to add CBYT Corner Brook and its transmitters to the licence of CBNT St. John's, Newfoundland.


Given the licensee's request, the Commission revokes, pursuant to sections 9(1)e) and 24(2) of the Broadcasting Act, the licence issued to the CBC for CBYT and its transmitters.
