Ottawa, 12 July 2002

Radio Communautaire de la Rive-Sud inc.
Longueuil, Quebec

Application 2001-1176-6
Public Notice CRTC 2002-14
11 March 2002

CHAA-FM Longueuil - Technical change

1.

The Commission approves the application by Radio Communautaire de la Rive-Sud inc. to decrease the effective radiated power of the radio programming undertaking CHAA-FM Longueuil, from 104 watts to 53 watts.

2.

The Commission notes that the licensee also proposes to relocate the transmitter to a site located approximately 8 kilometres west of the actual site, for which Commission approval is not required.

3.

As a result of these changes, the coverage area of this station will shift to the west. The Commission authorizes the licensee to operate the undertaking on the basis of the contours and particulars resulting from the above-mentioned changes.

4.

No interventions were filed in connection with this application.

5.

The Commission reminds the licensee that, pursuant to section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, this authority will only be effective when the Department of Industry notifies the Commission that its technical requirements have been met, and that it is prepared to amend the broadcasting certificate.
