Deadline to commence operations


The Commission approves the application by Golden West Broadcasting Ltd. for an extension of the time limit to commence the operation of the new FM radio programming undertaking in Moose Jaw, authorized in New FM radio programming undertaking, Decision CRTC 1999-473, 19 October 1999.


The Commission notes that the current application represents the third request for an extension of the time limit to commence the operation of this undertaking.


The licence for this undertaking will be issued once the licensee has informed the Commission in writing that it is prepared to commence operations. This undertaking must be operational no later than 18 October 2002, unless a request for a further extension of time is approved by the Commission before that date. In order to ensure that such a request is processed in a timely manner, it should be submitted in writing at least 60 days before this date.
