Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2002-118

Ottawa, 26 April 2002

Radio Beauce inc.
Saint-Georges and Saint-Georges-de-Beauce, Quebec

Application 2002-0197-1

Transfer of effective control

The Commission approves the application to transfer the effective control of Radio Beauce inc., licensee of the radio programming undertakings CHJM-FM Saint-Georges and CKRB-FM Saint-Georges-de-Beauce. The transaction will be implemented through the transfer of 150 of the Class A common voting shares, representing 50% of the licensee's interests, from Gestion Pascal Vallée inc., solely held by Pascal Vallée, to Marie Jalbert, who already holds 50% of Radio Beauce inc.'s interests.

Following this transfer of effective control, Marie Jalbert will hold all the common shares in Radio Beauce inc.

The Commission notes that the licensee has proceeded with this transaction prior to obtaining its approval. The licensee is reminded that it must abide by section 11(4) of the Radio Regulations, 1986, at all times.
