Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2002-107

Ottawa, 22 April 2002

Aboriginal Voices Radio Inc.
Calgary, Alberta

Application 2002-0140-1

Extension of time limit to implement a new radio programming undertaking at Calgary

1.

The Commission approves the application by Aboriginal Voices Radio Inc. for a 12 month extension of the time limit to commence operation of a new radioprogramming undertaking at Calgary, granted by Three new radio stations to serve Calgary, Decision CRTC 2001-172, 12 March 2001.

2.

The Commission grants the licensee an extension, until 12 March 2003, to implement this authority.

3.

The licensee's failure to meet this new implementation deadline will cause this authority to become null and void, unless a request for a further extension of time is submitted and approved by the Commission within that period.

4.

Once the licensee has informed the Commission in writing that it is prepared to commence operations, the licence for this undertaking will be issued.
