Call for response to comments - Carriage of local television stations by DTH undertakings in smaller markets

In this notice, the Commission calls for responses to interventions received pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 2001-103, which sought comments on issues related to the distribution by DTH undertakings of certain local and out-of-market television services in smaller television markets.

1.

In the notice, the Commission set out a number of questions and possible courses of action, and stated that it would accept comments that were received on or before 30 November 2001.

2.

In response, the Commission has received 207 submissions, many of which include extensive comments, studies and proposals to address the issues and questions set out in the notice.

3.

In order to ensure the broadest possible examination of these issues, the Commission has decided to provide interested parties with the opportunity to comment on the submissions received in response to PN 2001-103.

4.

Therefore, the Commission invites comments that respond to the interventions received pursuant to PN 2001-103. The Commission will accept submissions that it receives on or before 31 January 2002.
