Order CRTC 2001-832

Ottawa, 15 November 2001

TELUS Communications (Québec) Inc.
Tariff notice 313

Digital network services

1

TELUS Communications (Québec) Inc. submitted an application on 10 September 2001 to introduce 128 kbps access to its digital network services and to amend the monthly rate for 128 kbps access to its ProxiRéseau service.

2.

Regarding access to its digital network services, TELUS Québec proposed, among other things, to make DS-1 access available instead of 128 kbps access, in cases where its facilities did not support 128 kbps access.

3.

The Commission considers that it would be inappropriate to offer DS-1 access at the monthly rate charged for 128 kbps access.

4.

The Commission approves the application, with the exception of note (y) in article 5.01.02 d (2), which stipulated that DS-1 access would be offered in instances where the company's facilities did not allow 128 kbps access.
