Re: Public Notice CRTC 2000-175 Monitoring the Canadian telecommunications industry

Public Notice CRTC 2000-175 (PN 2000-175) established a process to consult the telecommunications industry, consumer groups and other interested persons to assist the Commission to determine the information needed to monitor more effectively the Canadian telecommunications industry.

Paragraph 11 of PN 2000-175 stated that survey forms would be developed to identify the additional information required from service providers and the Commission expressed its expectation that the survey forms would be sent by 18 May 2001.

It is now expected that the survey forms will be sent by 30 May 2001. In light of this change, the completed surveys are to be filed with the Commission by 29 June 2001.

Yours sincerely,

Shirley Soehn
Executive Director
