Ottawa, 28 November 2001

Ms. Lanny Morry
Director, Regulatory Affairs
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation
250 Lanark Avenue
Ottawa, Ontario

Dear Ms. Morry:

RE: APPROVAL -- Application No.: (2001-1090-9)
CBUT-17 Port Alice, British Columbia
Increase in power & contour change

Dear Ms. Morry:

This refers to your application, dated 18 September 2001, to amend the television programming undertaking licence of CBUT Vancouver by increasing the transmitter power to 10 watts and by changing the contours of the transmitter CBUT-17 Port Alice. This results from the replacement of the transmitting antenna system.

The Commission has reviewed the application and hereby approves the increase in power and the change of contours resulting from the aforementioned proposal.

This approval is conditional upon receiving within six (6) months of the date of this decision, a written notice from Industry Canada, that it is prepared to amend your Broadcasting Certificate in accordance with your application.

All letters of approval issued by the Commission are made available for public examination at the Commission's central office. The Commission also requires you to append this letter of approval to the licence of your undertaking.

Yours sincerely,

Ursula Menke

Secretary General
