Dear Madam:

Re: Applications 2001-1075-0 and 2001-1076-8 - Approved
Amendments to the authorized service areas
Cogeco Câble Mauricie inc. - Louiseville and Grand-Mère

We are pleased to inform you that the Commission has approved your applications to change the authorized service areas of the cable distribution undertakings serving Louiseville and Grand-Mère, by adding areas in Yamaska, Saint-Narcisse, Saint-Prosper, Hérouxville, St Étienne des Grès and St-Georges, Quebec, as shown in the contour maps appended to your applications.

This approval is subject to the requirement that construction in the extended areas be completed and the extended systems be in operation within twelve (12) months of the date of this decision or, where the licensee applies to the Commission within this period and satisfies the Commission that it cannot complete the construction and commence operations throughout the extended systems before the expiry of this period and that an extension is in the public interest, within such further periods of time as are approved in writing from time to time by the Commission.

Should construction not be completed within the twelve-month period stipulated in this decision or, should the Commission refuse to approve an extension requested by the licensee, the authority granted shall lapse and become null and void upon expiry of the period of time granted herein or upon the termination of the last approved extension period.

The Commission would appreciate being informed of the actual date of implementation of service to the extended areas.

The Commission requires you to append this decision and the associated service area map(s) to the licences of your undertakings.

Yours sincerely,

Ursula Menke
Secretary General
