Intra-corporate reorganization - Transfer of a certain interest of MusiquePlus Inc. to Astral Broadcasting Group Inc. MusiquePlus Inc., licensee of MusiquePlus, MusiMax, Perfecto La Chaîne, - National Services

The Commission has completed its examination of the above-noted application from Astral Media Inc. (Astral Media) for authority to effect an intra-corporate reorganization. Among the various steps of this reorganization, one element consists of transferring to Astral Broadcasting Group Inc. (ABGI), Astral Radio Inc.'s 50% ownership interest in MusiquePlus Inc., licensee of MusiquePlus, MusiMax and Perfecto, La Chaîne.

The Commission approves the transfer of Astral Radio Inc.'s 50% ownership interest in MusiquePlus Inc. to ABGI.

The Commission notes that the intra-corporate reorganization also comprises the transfer of two broadcasting undertakings, Canal Vie and Canal Z, from Astral Radio Inc. to ABGI. This transaction will be dealt in the context of a separate public proceeding.

Our records will be modified to reflect the attached ownership structure. All letters of approval issued by the Commission are made available for public examination at the Commission's central office. The Commission also requires you to append this letter to your licences.
