Decision CRTC 2001-671

Ottawa, 5 November 2001

Mr. Gary Miles
Executive Vice President
Radio Operations
Rogers Broadcasting Limited
777 Jarvis Street
Toronto, ON M4Y 3B7
Dear Mr. Miles:

Re: Application 2001-1200-6 Approval Extension of time limit
Rogers Broadcasting Limited - Vancouver and Whistler BC

We are pleased to inform you that the Commission approves your request for an extension of time limit to implement the programming transmitter site of CKKS-FM at Whistler BC.

The Commission grants you a six-month extension of time limit until 30 March 2002.

This extension does not of course, relieve you of your responsibility to implement the authority to operate the radio programming undertaking at Whistler at the earliest possible date.

Should the completion of the new installation not be completed within the period stipulated in this decision or, should the Commission refuse to approve an extension requested by the licensee, the licence will not be issued.

The Commission would appreciate being informed of the actual date of the construction and implementation of the radio programming undertaking.

The Commission requires you to append this decision to the original decision amending the licence of CKKS-FM.

Ursula Menke
Secretary General
