Ottawa, 30 October 2001

Les Entreprises Radiomédia inc.
Montréal, Quebec

Five-month administrative renewal

The Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the French-language radio network operated by Les Entreprises Radiomédia inc., from 1 November 2001 to 31 March 2002, subject to the terms and conditions in effect under the current licence.

This network broadcasts the baseball games of the Montréal Expos.

The Commission has granted the licensee an administrative renewal pending receipt of its licence renewal application.

The decision released today does not dispose of any substantive issue that may exist with respect to the renewal of this licence. If the licensee files a licence renewal application, the Commission will announce it and interested parties will then have an opportunity to comment.
