Decision CRTC 2001 - 649

Ottawa, 15 October 2001

Mr. Joel Virtanen
President
JR Radio (OBCI)
1616 Grant Avenue
Cornwall, ON K6J 5J4

Dear Sir:

Re: Application: 2001-1079-2 - Approval
Extension of Time Limit to March 15, 2002
JR Radio (OBCI) - CFRI-FM Red Lake, ON

We are pleased to inform you that the Commission approves your request for an extension of time limit to implement the above-noted radio programming undertaking at Red Lake.

The Commission grants an extension of time limit to March 15, 2002 to implement this service.

This extension does not, of course, relieve you of your responsibility to implement the authority to operate this radio programming undertaking at the earliest possible date.

Should the completion of the new installation not be effected within the period stipulated in this decision or, should the Commission refuse to approve any further extension requested by the licensee, the licence will not be issued.

As stipulated in the approval decision, the authority will be effective and the licence will be issued only at such time as the construction of the undertaking is completed and it commences operation. Consequently, the applicant is required to inform the Commission, in writing, once it has completed construction and is prepared to commence operation of the undertaking, at which time, the Commission will issue the licence.

The Commission requires you to append this decision to the original decision granting this licence.

Sincerely,

Ursula Menke
Secretary General
