Order CRTC 2001-617

Ottawa, 2 August 2001

TELUS Communications Inc.
TCBC Tariff notice 4149

Revisions to TCBC's Special Assembly Tariff for wireless transport networks

1.

The Commission approves the application by TELUS Communications Inc. to revise Item 81 C-2 of TCBC's Special Assembly Tariff, such that the item will refer to General Tariff CRTC 1005, Item 447, regarding the Bipolar Eight Zero Substitution (B8ZS) coded signal option service.

2.

TCI indicated that it overlooked Tariff CRTC 1020, Item 81 C-2, in its application dealing with the General Tariff rate for B8ZS service. The application resulted in the release of Bipolar Eight Zero Substitution (B8ZS), Order CRTC 2000-946, dated 12 October 2000. A customer has been charged the monthly rate for B8ZS Item 81 C-2, as opposed to the General Tariff rate.

3.

Accordingly, TCI is directed to provide a refund that amounts to the difference between the rate that was charged and the General Tariff rate. This refund will be retroactive to 12 October 2000, which was the date when the Commission granted approval of the General Tariff.
