Exchange service

 

The Commission approves Northern's request to:

 
  • upgrade two- and four-party line customers to single line service;
 
  • introduce a provision limiting the customer portion of construction costs for the service improvement plan (SIP);
 
  • introduce an instalment payment plan for the customer cost portion of the SIP;
 
  • make Touch-Tone part of its basic service rate; and
 
  • waive all multi-element service charges when a hardwired customer requests the installation of a jack in order to be Touch-Tone capable.
 

Northern filed the application on 25 January 2001 and amended it on 9 April 2001 to revise its General Tariff.
