Order CRTC 2001-152

Ottawa, 22 February 2001

CRTC denies Bell Canada's proposed Special Facilities Tariff for a one-year extension to an existing five-year Centrex contract

Reference: Tariff Notice 6531

1.

Bell Canada filed Tariff Notice 6531 to introduce a Special Facilities Tariff for a one-year extension to an existing five-year minimum contract period Centrex contract. Bell Canada indicated that the customer would not make any changes to the existing Centrex system and that the proposed rates were higher than those under the five-year minimum contract period.

2.

The Commission considers that this filing is a Type 2 customer-specific arrangement as defined in Telecom Decision CRTC 94-19. The Commission finds that the economic study submitted by the company in support of this application does not meet the imputation test requirements outlined in that decision.

3.

Accordingly, the Commission denies Taiff Notice 6531.
