Order CRTC 2001-135

Ottawa, 14 February 2001

Sogetel inc.
Tariff Notices 99 and 99A

Point-to-point high speed access service

The Commission approves, with the following change, Sogetel's request to introduce a point-to-point high speed access service that will allow a subscriber to establish a data channel between two points served by the same wire centre. The company is directed to issue forthwith tariff pages specifying that the speed is up to 128 kbps.

The Commission notes that the proposed tariff does not specify the speed at which the service would be provided. The Commission considers that the proposed rates are appropriate for a speed up to 128 kbps.

Sogetel filed the application on 29 November 2000 and amended it on 21 December 2000 to add Section 5.12 to its General Tariff.
