Application by COGÉCO RADIO-TÉLÉVISION INC. (Cogéco) for a broadcasting licence to carry on a transitional digital radio undertaking (DRU) in Montréal and Laval. |
In Decision CRTC 2000-41 dated 11 February 2000, the Commission approved Cogéco's application to carry on the above-mentioned transitional DRU. The Commission's approval was subject to the condition that the facilities be in operation within 12 months of the date of the decision, i.e., by 11 February 2001. As well, in the event that the licensee was unable to commence operations before that date, it was required to apply to the Commission in writing to extend the deadline. |
Since the licensee did not apply for an extension before the 12-month period expired, it must apply to the Commission for a new licence to carry on a transitional DRU in Montréal and Laval. |
In light of the above and since there are no changes to the application filed in 1999, the licensee requests that the Commission accept a copy of its 1999 application as its current request. |
