Further to its Notice of Public Hearing CRTC 2001-4 dated 16 March 2001 relating to the Public Hearing which will be held on 22 May 2001, at the Conference Centre, Portage IV, 140 Promenade du Portage, Hull, Quebec, the Commission announces the following:

 

CORRECTION TO ITEM 17:

 

The following item is amended and the changes are in bold.

 

Kamloops, Pritchard and Chase, British Columbia
Application No. 2000-2356-5

 

Application by JIM PATTISON INDUSTRIES LTD. to carry on an English-language FM radio station in Kamloops.

 

The new station would operate on frequency 100.1 MHz (channel 261B) with an effective radiated power of 3,500 watts.

 

The applicant also proposes to add two additional transmitters at Pritchard and Chase to rebroadcast the programming of the proposed Kamloops FM undertaking. The transmitter at Pritchard would operate on frequency 104.5 MHz (channel 283A) with an effective radiated power of 19 watts while the transmitter at Chase would operate on frequency 95.5 MHz (channel 238A) with an effective radiated power of 140 watts, upon surrender of the licences for CFJC-FM Merritt and CFJC-FM-1 Clearwater.

 

Upon approval of the application, the applicant would surrender the current licence for CFJC Kamloops, an AM station.

 

The applicant is proposing a country music format.

 

The applicant is also requesting permission to broadcast simultaneously on the AM and FM bands for a period of 3 months.
