Decision CRTC 2001-451

Ottawa, 26 July 2001

BY FAX: (613) 724-5668

Ms. Lanny Morry
Director, Regulatory Affairs
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation
250 Lanark Avenue
Ottawa, Ontario

Dear Ms. Morry:

Re: Approval - Application 2001-0806-0
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation - Prince Albert, Saskatchewan
Extension of time limit to 10 August 2003

We are pleased to inform you that the Commission approves your request for an extension of time limit to implement the radio FM transmitter at Prince Albert.

The Commission grants a 24 months extension of time limit, namely until 10 August 2003.

This extension does not of course, relieve you of your responsibility to implement the authority to operate the radio FM transmitter at Prince Albert at the earliest possible date.

Should the completion of new installations not be completed within the period stipulated in this letter or, should the Commission refuse to approve an extension requested by the licensee, the licence will not be amended.

As stipulated in the approval decision, the authority will only be effective and the licence will only be amended when the new transmitting facilities are constructed and ready to begin operation. Consequently, the applicant is required to advise the Commission, in writing, once it has completed construction and is prepared to commence operation of the undertaking, at which time, the Commission will amend the licence.

The Commission requires you to append this decisionto the licence of your undertaking.

Sincerely,

Ursula Menke
Secretary General
